The head of the Roughneck Vintage Splitting Maul is constructed from premium alloy steel that has undergone heat treatment and tempered for durability. It has a sharp edge for simple cutting and a fully polished, transparent lacquer finish for anti-rust protection.
The handle is made entirely of FSC® 100% authentic American Hickory. The hickory is fastened to the head with a steel and wood wedge for a very secure and safe fitting and has been smoke treated for moisture resistance.

Certified to DIN and GS standards.
